How it all began

Martin has been active in 1990s-2000s. He has played drums in a Scandinavian metal group called 'Hexenhaus'  for a long time. After that he met up with a Swedish film and music video director and musician Stakka Bo in 1991 with three singles as the result of the co-operation. One of them is called "We've got the atmosphere" which climbed directly to the top of the Swedish charts. During the following year, E-Type went on to become a well known figure in the Swedish entertainment world as a popular host for Z-TV, film soundtrack composer and a song writer for several Swedish artists. In 1993 his first solo single "I'm falling" was released without reaching any great success.

Breakthrough

In 1994 the solo career took off when E-Type started the co-operation to work an album called "Made in Sweden" with the Cheiron-producers Denniz PoP, Max Martin and Amadin. The first result of the co-operation came in the same summer, when the single "Set the world on fire" was released. It climbed the charts like a speeding bullet and achieved gold sales status. It reached No. 1 on the Swedish Dance Chart and No. 2 on the Swedish sale-chart.
In the same year, the follow-up single "This is the way" reached No. 1 on the sale-chart and was the most sold single in Sweden for several weeks. In November, the album itself was released and it made it up to No. 2 on the album-chart. All in all, over 100 000 copies were sold in Sweden and the album was listened for 26 weeks.
